Helga is a National Garden Club accredited Master Judge and holds a teachers certificate from the Sogetsu School of Ikebana of Japan. She is a member of the Rose Garden Club of Las Vegas, Nevada and the Auburn Flower Arrangers Guild and the Capitol Judges Council of California. She has demonstrated floral design programs for many years to Garden Clubs, State Conventions, Pacific Region Conventions and was a featured speaker at the Organization of Floral Art Designers annual seminar in 2015.

Helga’s inspirations for innovative design and unusual techniques are derived from observations of nature, earth’s patterns, textures and the ever changing colors from her many years as a pilot exploring the wilderness of Alaska, Canada’s Northwest Territories and Canada’s Arctic.
