Join OFAD members for a tour of the new San Francisco Flower Market. This excursion will include transportation to and from the Embassy Suites returning in time for the 10:00 AM workshops.
During this behind-the-scenes visit, attendees will experience the early-morning operations of a working wholesale market, where professional buyers source fresh-cut flowers and foliage from California growers as well as domestic and international farms. Participants will walk the market floor, observe real-time purchasing and logistics, and engage directly with vendors offering a wide range of productsfrom seasonal, locally grown blooms to specialty and hard-to-source varieties.
The San Francisco Flower Market is one of the oldest continuously operating wholesale flower markets in the United States, serving Northern California’s floral industry for more than 100 years. Established in the early 1900s, the market has played a vital role in supporting local growers, wholesalers, florists, and event professionals while helping shape San Francisco’s rich floral and agricultural heritage.
